1985
Delta T Solutions was founded on July 1, 1985 in Schaumberg,
IL, by Russ Zabel and Jim Windle, professionals with over
30 years combined experience in hot water heating systems.
They began the company with a single horticultural
product: a high quality EPDM rubber tubing used to
heat plants. By running hot water through a tubing
mat placed under the plants, the company was able to
maintain the soil temperature, accelerate plant growth,
and reduce the heating requirements of the greenhouse.
1986
Spurred by accelerated growth, a need to be located
in the horticultural heartland, and a love of hot weather,
the company moved to San Luis Obispo, CA. There they
developed their second and third products: Delta Tube
LD, a ground bed heating product, and Delta Tube HD,
used for heating concrete floors.
1990
By 1990, the company had relocated to a much larger
manufacturing facility in Bakersfield, CA, where they
began working on their Delta Fin line of aluminum fin
tube products. Seeing the need for a system sell, management
started to create even more products to complete their
heating package.
1992
Delta T Solutions moved to its current location in San
Diego, CA.
1995
The company purchased an aluminum box fin product line
and equipment from Aluminum Sun Fin. Minor improvements
in the line added even more capability to Delta T's offerings.
1996
The company received its first patent for its external
coupler in its Fin TF line of under bench radiation. A new line of short fin products were added to provide
more even heating with under bench fins.
