Delta T Solutions Introduces the Ratus Fischer Irrigation Line of Flood Floors and Benches
 SAN MARCOS, Calif., April 9, 2007 – Delta T Solutions recently launched the Ratus Fischer Irrigation Line, the next generation of flood floors and benches designed by the preeminent specialist in the field. The line can be used in commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential greenhouses.
Key to the Ratus Fischer Irrigation Line is ebb and flow watering on specially shaped floors and benches, which provides quick and even sub-irrigation for plants in pots or cell packs. Sections are easily filled with 1 to 2 inches of water. The growing media soaks up the water by capillary action, which allows plants to be completely watered without becoming waterlogged. Sections fill and drain completely in 6 to 10 minutes. The unused water returns to a reservoir for recirculation.
System controls operate independently or can be integrated with a greenhouse environmental computer system. Flood irrigation is normally combined with floor or bench heat, which facilitates separate control of root and foliage temperatures for enhanced growth with less dependence on chemicals.
